Who Makes Diabetes Medication?

Aventis, Eli Lilly, and Sanofi-Aventis Make Diabetes Medication

The ADA was a big ally of Aventis. The company used the guidelines to promote its diabetes products. In 2004, the ADA added a target for A1c below 7% for doctors, recognizing them as experts for people with diabetes. Physicians can use this information to attract patients and secure insurance networks. Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, and Aventis were all among the companies that gave to the ADA. They gave at least $750,000 per year.
